Northsense · for iPhone

Can you point north without looking?

Every day Northsense names five bearings — north, southwest, 47 degrees — and asks you to point your iPhone at each one. Lock in your guess and it measures the angle you were off by.

A sense of direction is practice, not a gift

People who seem to "just know" where north is usually keep checking without noticing: where the sun is, which way the street runs, which way they turned. A short daily guess-and-check builds the same habit. Before you open a map, point — then look.
