FloorQuote turns an iPhone Pro into a flooring estimating tool. Walk the room with the LiDAR scanner, check the measurements, pick the product out of your own price book — and the customer has a quote with your company on top before you are back in the van.
Four things, then you're done
- Scan the roomWalk the perimeter with the iPhone's LiDAR scanner. It picks up the floor outline, the doorways and the openings, and works out the area and the perimeter from the shape — not from you holding a tape against a skirting board.
- Check the numbersEvery room lands in a list you can correct. A room the scanner could not reach, a cupboard you want counted separately — type the area straight in instead.
- Pick the productYour own price book: coverage per box, price per box or per square foot, laying pattern, whether it needs underlay. The waste comes from the pattern, so herringbone costs what herringbone actually costs.
- Hand over the quoteMaterial, underlay, transitions, baseboard, labour and tax, itemised, with your company at the top. One PDF, on the spot.

Why the quote adds up
The arithmetic is the part a customer never sees and always feels. Three rules decide it.

| Waste goes on the area | The pattern's percentage is added before anything is divided into boxes — never to a box count that has already been rounded up. |
| Boxes round up once | You cannot buy 11.3 boxes. An exact fit stays exact: 220 sq ft of 20 sq ft boxes is 11, not 12. |
| Labour is on the real floor | Charged on the area you are actually laying, not on the waste you had to buy. |

Honest about the limits
- iPhone Pro. The scanner needs LiDAR, which means a Pro model. On any other iPhone you can still type rooms in by hand and quote them.
- A quote, not a survey. A LiDAR scan is good to within a plank, not to within a millimetre. Check it before you order, the same as you would check a tape.
- No stairs, no carpet. Stairs are counted by the piece and carpet comes off a roll; neither is area arithmetic, and neither is in the app.
- Your prices. It ships with sample products so you can see how it works, then you replace them with your own. It does not know what your supplier charges.
Free, with a Pro upgrade
Scanning, measuring and quoting are free to try. Pro lifts the limits on jobs and removes the mark from exported quotes. Purchases are handled by the App Store; payment is taken by Apple, and nothing about the job leaves the phone unless you send the PDF yourself.
