Pennyjar terms of use

Pennyjar (the "App", with its Goals, Challenges and Cushion parts) is published by Ilia Filiaev (the "Developer"). It is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your use of the App: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

Pennyjar Pro

Pennyjar Pro is a single one-time in-app purchase — not a subscription — that unlocks Goals, Challenges and Cushion together. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Restore Purchase in Settings (any tab, gear icon, first section) brings Pro back on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

A record, not a financial service

Pennyjar keeps a record of what you set aside. It does not hold, receive, send or invest money, it has no connection to a bank or an account, and its plans count no interest on your savings and no taxes. Goal plans, challenges and the Cushion are arithmetic on the figures you enter. The rules of the Cushion cite US sources or are marked as assumptions, and they may not fit your country or your situation. A calculation from your numbers is not financial advice, and neither is anything else in the App. Check anything that matters to you against your own accounts and your lenders' statements.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications delivered by iOS: they arrive only if notifications are allowed. The App sets them again each time it is opened; if the App is not opened for a long time, reminders may stop arriving.

Privacy

How the App handles your information is set out in its privacy policy.
