You don't steer the pickaxe.
You choose where it falls, and then you live with it. A pixel mining game for iPhone: free, with no ads and no purchases.
Coming to the App Store
One drop, start to finish
Aim over the mouth of the shaft and let go. The pick bounces off stone, chops whatever it rests on, and carves its own crooked cavern downward. Every contact costs it a point of health, so each drop is a small finite life: the deeper it goes, the closer it is to breaking.
What your hands are for
Perfect strikes
The instant the pick lands after a fall it glows gold. Tap in that window: triple damage, the health refunded, the screen catching for a beat. Mistime it and the combo dies.
Bombs
Some rock will not yield to the tool you hold. Craft a keg at the Powder House, throw it mid-fall as time crawls, and open a path through rock your pick cannot touch.
A village
Stone, copper, iron, gold and gems go into the forge, the market and the buildings. Each one changes the next run: deeper shafts, more bombs, richer seams.
Earned, not bought
Progress is gated by material. An iron pick needs iron, and iron is found. There is nothing to buy, no ads and no paid randomness anywhere in the game.
Drawn from code
An original 5×7 pixel font, procedural stone and ore, sounds synthesised for this game. It runs entirely on your device: no account, no login, and no connection needed to play.
