Taxenda privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
What Taxenda keeps on your device
- Each transaction: where it came from (XML file, manual entry or example), its type, the date that counts, the amount without IVA, the IVA, the ISR and IVA withheld, the series and folio if there is one, and a one-way fingerprint of the CFDI's fiscal folio (UUID), which is used to avoid importing the same invoice twice. Also whether you excluded it and why.
- Each month: whether you marked it as declared and the day you did.
- Each year: the amount you collected before using Taxenda, if you add it. It only counts toward the yearly limit.
- Settings: extra business days by RFC, reminders (on or off, how many days before), whether the reminders card was dismissed, and a counter that decides when to ask for a rating.
This data is saved in the app's own storage on your device, and Taxenda sends it nowhere and doesn't sync it with iCloud. If you back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or a computer, the backup includes this data, like the data of your other apps, so it comes back when you move to a new device. That backup is yours: it sits in your iCloud account or on your computer, and the developer has no access to it. "Delete all data", in Settings, removes every transaction, month mark and setting from this device.
What Taxenda never keeps
- Your RFC or anyone else's, and your CURP.
- Names, addresses or product descriptions from your invoices.
- Your SAT password or e.firma.
- The XML files themselves: Taxenda reads a file and releases it, and keeps no copy.
- Bank details.
Taxenda finds your own RFC in memory only, during a single import.
What Taxenda does not do
- No account, sign-up or sign-in.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No third-party services or SDKs, and no in-app purchases.
- No connections to the internet.
- No access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or health data.
Permissions
Taxenda reads only the files you choose in Files or open with Taxenda from an email. If you turn reminders on, iOS asks for permission to send notifications; they are local notifications, scheduled on your device, and without that permission Taxenda sends none.
Exports
The CSV and PDF of the year are made on your device, without an RFC or names, and leave Taxenda only if you choose a destination in the iOS Share sheet.
Links
The links to the texts of the norms in "Sources and rules" open in your browser and, once the app is on the App Store, "Rate Taxenda" opens the App Store review page. They open only when you tap them, and the browser or the App Store shows them, not Taxenda.
Ratings
After a few results Taxenda may ask for a rating with the standard iOS prompt. Apple shows and handles that prompt; Taxenda does not see your answer.
Children
Taxenda is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Notice
Informational estimate based on published rates and deadlines (LISR, RMF and CFF; source and date in the app). Not tax advice and not a substitute for a public accountant (contador público). Taxenda is not affiliated with the SAT.
