How do I import my invoices?
On the month card tap "Import XML" and choose several XML files or a whole folder in Files. You can also open an XML attachment from an email with Taxenda. Before anything is added, Taxenda shows what it read: how many issued invoices, received invoices and payments, by month.
Which files does it read?
CFDI 4.0 invoices you issued and received, and their payment complements. It does not count CFDI 3.3 files, files without a stamp, payroll and transfer types, damaged XML, files in another currency without an exchange rate, or files you already imported; the summary gives the reason for each. ZIP files are not read. One import takes up to 2,000 files: if you have more, import them in parts.
Does Taxenda ask for my RFC?
No. Taxenda doesn't ask for or keep your RFC. To tell whether an invoice was issued by you or received by you, it uses the RFC that repeats across the files you import, in memory only and during that import. If it can't tell, it asks you.
How is the month worked out?
The month's income adds up, without IVA, your issued invoices, the payments from your payment complements and the incomes you add by hand, and subtracts credit notes. An issued invoice with deferred or partial payment counts when its payment complement arrives or when you mark it as collected. Taxenda looks up the 2026 rate table for the rate that matches that income and applies it to the whole month's income. The ISR to pay is the month's ISR minus the ISR your clients withheld; if they withheld more, you see a balance in favor. The IVA to pay is the IVA on your income minus the IVA on credit notes, the IVA withheld from you and the IVA on your expenses; if it comes out below zero, that is a balance in favor too. Amounts are shown with cents.
An invoice should not count. What do I do?
Taxenda doesn't connect to the internet or to any service, so it can't see whether a CFDI was cancelled. If an invoice shouldn't count, exclude it yourself, for example as "Cancelled" or "Not from my activity". Excluded transactions don't count toward the month's figures.
How is the deadline worked out?
It is the 17th of the following month. If that day isn't a business day, it moves to the next business day. To add the extra business days for the sixth numeric digit of your RFC, open "Extra day by RFC" in Settings and pick your row in the table ("No extra day" or +1 to +5); the date on the card updates at once. Taxenda uses the 2026 non-working days from its rule package.
How do the reminders work?
In Settings turn on "Reminders" and choose how many days before you want the notice: 1, 3 or 7. Taxenda notifies you that day and on the deadline itself, at 10:00 device time. They are local notifications: iOS asks for permission when you turn reminders on, not when you open the app, and without that permission no notice arrives. Taxenda schedules only the two nearest deadlines, and marking a month as declared removes its notices.
What is the 3.5 million limit?
It is the RESICO income limit for a year. Taxenda adds up the income of the months of the year and, if you wish, what you collected before you started using it ("Collected this year before Taxenda" in Settings), and shows how much is left. With at least two completed months of data it estimates the month you would pass it at your pace; if you wouldn't pass it this year, it says "At this pace you won't reach the threshold this year". Months after passing the limit are not calculated.
How do I export for my accountant?
Open "Year" with the calendar button and tap "Export for your accountant": you get a CSV and a PDF of the year from the Share sheet. The PDF carries the header "Informational estimate: not a tax return and not an acknowledgment receipt". Neither the CSV nor the PDF has your RFC or names. "Export all", in Settings, saves one CSV with every year. The file leaves Taxenda only to wherever you send it.
Does Taxenda file my return or pay for me?
No. Taxenda doesn't file returns or make payments, and it doesn't sign in to any service. It works out an estimate from your XML files and the published rules; marking a month as "declared" is a note of your own.
Can I try it without my files?
Yes. On the month card tap "Try with an example": Taxenda imports 14 sample CFDI invoices for three months and runs them through the same import. The example stays marked, and "Delete example" removes it.
How do I delete my data?
In Settings, "Delete all data" (it asks you to confirm) removes every transaction, month mark and setting from this device. It can't be undone.
Which devices and languages?
iPhone and iPad. The app is in English, Spanish and nine more languages.
